Project Summary
  • In August 2007, the I‐10 Twin Spans sustained serious damage from Hurricane Katrina and required a complete rebuild
  • Operating under a tight schedule, United Fiberglass worked with Burke‐ Kleinpeter to design fiberglass conduit systems for the new bridges which will contain electrical and fiber optic cables
  • Our system consists of 4” and 6” “Bullet Resistant” fiberglass expansion joints at the bridge joints and 2” Bullet Resistant conduit for lighting and fiber optic parallels.
