LEADING FIBERGLASS CONDUIT MANUFACTURER EXPANDING CAPABILITIES
United Fiberglass of America gains key product certifications, moves to new facility and acquires bridge drain company to enhance client services.
Springfield, OH (February, 2011) – United Fiberglass of America (United) has successfully implemented changes that will increase its ability to meet the needs of the markets it supports moving forward through 2011 and beyond. Orchestrated by an innovative leadership team that came to United in 2010, the changes are part of ongoing growth initiatives and a corporate-wide strategy to further enhance client services.
At the center of these changes is United's new Springfield, Ohio facility. Located at 2145 Airpark Drive, this state-of-the-art production and logistics center significantly increases production efficiency, output and storage capacity, updated equipment and greater warehouse space than the company's prior location. In addition, the recent certification of United's fiberglass conduit solutions to UL 1684 and 1684A requirements gives customers added quality assurance and simplifies product specification by eliminating confusion when comparing fiberglass conduit products to those constructed of other materials. Finally, in order to fully leverage its capabilities and meet the growing demand for bridge drainage system solutions, United acquired bridge-drain-systems manufacturer Cortrol Process Systems of Missouri, Inc. of Hazelwood, Missouri, in late 2009 to help streamline its processes and improve its ability to supply customers with comprehensive bridge drain systems in accordance with tight project schedules.
United Fiberglass of America president Gregg Gearhart is excited about the changes his company has made and feels that they have poised United to take advantage of a variety of opportunities he sees coming in the future.
