Technical Reference

Conduit Weight

A 20’ length of 4” fiberglass weighs only 16lbs. That’s 84% less weight than rigid steel and 55% less weight than PVC! Result– increased worker productivity.

Lower Installed Cost

Due to its high strength and rigidity, direct burial is an alternative to concrete encasement and fewer duct spacers are required. Result-lower installed cost.

Faster Installation

Bell and spigot push-fit gasket joint requires no threading or adhesives. Result-faster installation times. Corrosion Resistant Fiberglass conduit contains UV inhibitors, and is resistant to a wide variety of chemicals including road salts, jet fuels and acids. Perfect for airports. Result– long system life.

Thermal Stability

Fiberglass conduit has an operating temperature range of –40° to 230°F. Result-fiberglass can be installed year round and in a variety of harsh environments.

Lowest Co-efficient of Friction

Fiberglass conduit dissipates heat much quicker than thermoplastic PVC and rigid steel and will not burn through. Result– longer pulls with no conduit or cable damage.
